Ladyslipper Vine - Thunbergia mysorensis

One of the most beautiful and rewarding climbers flowering for nearly 12 months of the year. Flowers are burgundy and yellow and are borne on pendulum flower clusters. The flower starts at the height of the vine and extends down to 3 m in length as they grow + flower continuously. Lady slipper is also called the Tropical wisteria. New buds are formed during the Winter season so it's best to shape the vine in late autumn. It is best grown along an awning or a big archway so the flowers are free hanging and form a stunning curtain like display. Can tolerate light frost and will grow from Sydney to Cairns.
